Comet goldfish huddling together. | |
Phishwaters Small Fry Posts: 10 Kudos: 6 Votes: 0 Registered: 18-May-2004 | All the comet goldfish in the feeder tanks at my job have huddled into a tight pile on the bottom of their tanks since they came in. I thought it was maybe overstocking, but when I split them up, they did the same thing. Does anyone know the cause? PH 7.8 Ammonia 0 Nitrite 0 Nitrate 80 Alkalinity 40 Hardness 300 Salinity .2 |

You don't really need any, and maybe do a 35% water changes as your nitrates are high. They are probably jsut huddling together cause they're nervous/stressed. They have to get used to the tank thta they are in before they feel safe, then they won't school as tightly. |
