My mother in law has cold water fish and seeing as i've not much to do with them (and neither has she) i thought i'd ask here. She noticed i feed my fish all types of different food and was wondering if she could feed her fish such things as sinking pellets, bloodworms or brine shrimp. I checked out the net and most of the advice was be careful as to what they eat. Just wondering if any one has any suggestions.

I try to feed my goldfish mostly veggie based foods. I'm currently using Hikari goldfish pellets, and some peas on occasion. From what I've read too much protein can be troublesome in golfish, especially when they're kept in tanks 55 gallons or under.

Not sure how many gallons but it's standard 3ft tank. I read about the peas but will see if she can get any of those pellets. Speaking of veggies, i've got spirulina disc's for my sailfin pleco would they hurt her goldfish?

My Goldfish(fantails)eat primarily Hikari Cichlid Gold Pellets(medium). They also eat shrimp pellets, and Algae wafers. Of course, they would probably eat my dog if I threw her in too!
