wonder woman Fish Addict Posts: 545 Kudos: 279 Votes: 0 Registered: 07-Aug-2003 | Does anyone know if an impeller AND the white ceramic (?) pin that the impeller revolves around on a Tetra Pond Dynamag pump is replaceable? For unknown reasons, my impeller turned to mush after sitting in storage for a few months. It looks like it rusted, but isn't an impeller ALWAYS wet???<br>Thanks in advance! |

The thing I'm most concerned about is the white pin inside the impeller housing that the impeller slides in on, and which holds the rotating impeller shart in place during operation. That part broke off along with the corroded impeller shaft. I think it was attached to the back wall of the impeller hole, and as such, cannot be fixed or replaced. I've e-mailed the question to customer service at Tetra (this last weekend), but no response yet. If anyone out there has a Tetra Pond Dynamag pump, or its' predecessor, please take yours apart and look at it, and let me know if the pin is attached to the back wall of the pump, or to the impeller. Thanks! -Christina |
