Funny little story | |

A few weeks ago my father & I went fishing on his boat. On the trip we both caugh a good sized walleye (about 14 inches). We put them in the livewell and when we got home one was DOA. The other one was amost dead, but not quite. My folks' neighbor came over to look at our catch. He laughed and said, "Hey this on is still alive". He took it over to the pond and said, "I wonder if we can revive him?" Then he proceeded to open the walleye's mouth and put it in the current. A few seconds later it turned around and bit the neighbor on the thumb and swam off into the pond. That sucker drew blood! Well after all the excitement we couldn't find the walleye in the pond. The poor little goldfish were all schooled togeter on one end of the pond. They were afraid of the giant teeth on that fish! This actually helped us find the walleye, turns out he was in the other end of the pond from the goldfish. After about 20 or 30 minutes in the pond he started to come out from hiding and chasing the littler fish around. Considering the lure we cought the walleye on was bigger than most the fish in the pond, we had to net it out before it got any fish. It took quite a while to corner & net that bugger. But I finally got him out of the pond. Of course all the little fish have loved me since then. They obviously didn't see me kill, gut the walleye. After I gutted the walleye we put it in a plastic bag and gave it to my mother to put in the fridge so we could fillet it later. Well the gutted fish had a spasm and my mother dropped the bag and screamed, "It's still &#*# moving!". |
