Cichlid Kid Fish Addict Posts: 553 Kudos: 285 Votes: 34 Registered: 22-May-2004 | on another page i was reading it said this lady had a goldfish and cories and pl*cos in the same tank, she also went on to say how the goldfish got wounds or something from her "overzealous suitors"(dont know what this means im 14 can someone explain it?) whatever that is or means and the cories sucked at her wounds and the Pl*co sucked away and really injured her and ate away her tail, i was wonder if this would happen to me and if i would have this problem w/my cories. mine are albino but hers were pand or bandit dont kno which she has b/c she said she had both but in different tanks.i notice my cories like playing w/her maybe b/c she has a tail kinda like what she has and think she is 1 of them? she like also follows them around to, should i be worried about this, and is this a form of harrassing my poor goldy, the pl*co also sucked away at her, but her pl*costomus was a common mine is a small candy striped and he is a baby like 1inch or so hers wqas 7-9 inches ,and mine usually always only comes out at night. should i be worried about this?also i have a heater that is set @ 70 and the pl*co hid under it and the goldy does too i guess for shade so i guess they can co-exist, it is one of those heaters that stix on the side of the tank flat via sucktion cups.sry for the long post.please reply soon. |

Also, that candy cane pleco is very peaceful, and will leave your goldfish alone. However, the temperature is probably a little high for the goldfish, and too low for the others. How big is your tank? And, what kind of goldfish do you have? The goldie may very well outgrow your setup soon, especially if it is a comet or common goldfish. |

Orandas (for example) are commonly considered to "stay smaller" than other goldfish varieties, but Bruce thinks otherwise ... [/font] -Molly Visit shelldwellers.com! |

Untitled No. 4 Big Fish Posts: 488 Kudos: 452 Votes: 33 Registered: 07-Nov-2004 | I had some trilineatus cories with a small shubunkin for a while. It was very funny because the cories thought that the shubunkin was the leader of their gang and they used to follow it around wherever it swam. It was really strange as it doesn't look anything like the cories but they still seemed to have liked him. In no way were they attacking it or anything. Unfortunately, the shubunkin was relocated to the outside pond and the cories are looking for a new leader of the gang. I suspect that this lady's goldfish was in a really bad state that it was considered by the other fish to be food. Can you please post the link? |
