Goldie bubble nests? | |
Chel Fingerling Posts: 39 Kudos: 106 Votes: 1 Registered: 17-May-2004 | I know Bettas make bubble nests but my goldie Georgie has been working diligently at blowing bubbles. She places them in a row around the waters edge. Is this odd behavior? |

They are very oxygen hungry fish, and if there isn't enough aeration in the tank they will hover at the surface and "gasp". They also do this when the water levels of ammonia, nitrite, and nitrate are bad. You should check your water parameters, just to be safe, but who knows! Maybe you just have a confused goldie |
