goldies too many for a 55g tank? I`ve had about 5 in a 5g tank before I knew nothing about fish so I`ve moved to the 55g. I also have 3 tetras in there that have been in with them ever since I got them(3yrs ago), remember I didnt know anything abouty fish ok so dont flame me

You don't say how big the goldies are, but at 3 years old, yeah, your probably overstocked. I've got 3 five year olds and they are from 6 to 9 inches long. Two adults with some small dither fish would be a good fit for a 55 gallon. For goldies, its not just the size, but the waste they produce. The only fish I've had that poops more is my pleco

goldfish procude enormous amount of waste
so the answer is NO.
10 goldfish in a 55G is definately a NO.
