Just curious would it be ok to put guppies in a pond? | |

White clouds are a hardier choice if temps get cold where you live, but you still need to bring them indoors well before any frost. I'd bring in Guppies when daytime temps are about the same as your indoor temps. Katieb - I leave my (small - 60 gallons) pond up all year, but will take out the white clouds I have in there during October, and keep them in my 30g indoors until May. I try to keep the pond from freezing over, but it's not very deep, and it usually ends up being covered with ice. This year I'll try floating some styrofoam on top, and run an airline underneath to see if this will keep the pond from freezing. |

blackcloud Fingerling Posts: 26 Votes: 0 Registered: 13-Aug-2004 | I dont know what you guys have over there but here in ossie land we can get guppies that have been breed to live in cold water, thay are very hardie fish and also hard to find i know of one lfs in melbourne that stocks themif we have them here im shore u will beable to get them ther somewere i donnt know just how cold they can go and for how long. |
