Other colwater fish with goldfish? | |

koi keeper Moderator Posts: 3203 Kudos: 2033 Votes: 240 Registered: 29-Dec-2001 | Koi, orfe, Channel Catfish, White Cloud Mountain Minnows, Mosquito fish, tench, bitterlings, rudds, chubs, other carps (grass, ghost, crucian, leather, mirror, etc), sturguen, weather loaches, etc really depends on just how cold your cold water pond gets and how deep it is so that there might be warmer spots at the bottom to over-winter. Also depends on if you want population control (goldfish being eaten). And of course pond size.... Just a few off the top of my head. I have kept at least half to 3/4 of those in Koi ponds. Koi Empty chairs at empty tables, the room silent, forlorn. |
