Thanks, I wasn't planning on a pond that deep. I will have to dig it myself, a little bit at a time. Especially since granddaughter is only 39 inches tall. I was thinking of a small pond about 50 to 100 gallons. My back yard is really, really small.

Just don't dig it deep enough for her to drown in. 3 to 4 feet should be plenty deep for fish.

I would also make a point to let her know about it and that she shouldn't try to catch the fish..
