My grandparents can't change the water too easily I'll be stopping by in November and I'll beable to do a water change then what what can I tell them to do in the time being? dan76 Big Fish Always Reading Posts Posts: 343 Registered: 08-Jul-2003 | you could tell then to put the hose in the pond and let it overflow for a while to flush out some algae and then add neutralizer(sp?), also no i havent seen algae remover tabs used, another suggestion is cut down on the food for the fish and they will start to eat algae as well. sorry for the late reply |

As suggested above, try cutting back on feedings which they should be doing that now as the weather is getting colder anyway. Increased water changes will help but if they're not able to handle the added work that's understandable, just have them keep that in mind and make sure the pond isnt' overstocked or being overfed. Depending on what type of algae it is they may see the problem solved (for this year anyway) as the weather cools off. ^_^[hr width='40%']"Ank -Morpork people considered that spelling was a sort of optional extra.
