Hey...

Ok, at first the fish in my pond would always hide but eventually got used to us and would swim out in the open. They were almost eating right out of our hands. Then it rained and its been raining for about 2 days...It stopped and now when we go over to the pond and put food in it they do nothing except hide. I cant believe how these social fish became so scared and unsocial. Please help, any ideas on what this means would be greatly appreciated. :88)

It has rained but not for this amount of time, and the temp of the water has decreased, could that have anything to do with it?

the water temp might have made them more lethargic. and thier metabloism slow down. so they dont eat

My answer to this is with your original question with your other thread but I can repost here.

You fish have had a sudden PH shock and if the rain was cool enough they were given a temperature shock in addition to that.

You have to remember rain is acidic and lowers the PH of ponds.

What should the pH be kept at?
