Rain and my fishies | |
Fishie561 Fingerling Posts: 33 Kudos: 56 Votes: 1 Registered: 28-Jun-2004 | Hey... Ok, at first the fish in my pond would always hide but eventually got used to us and would swim out in the open. They were almost eating right out of our hands. Then it rained and its been raining for about 2 days...It stopped and now when we go over to the pond and put food in it they do nothing except hide. I cant believe how these social fish became so scared and unsocial. Please help, any ideas on what this means would be greatly appreciated. :88) |

You fish have had a sudden PH shock and if the rain was cool enough they were given a temperature shock in addition to that. You have to remember rain is acidic and lowers the PH of ponds. Koi Empty chairs at empty tables, the room silent, forlorn. |
