Who all has started winterizing?

My ponds in Ga don't quite need it yet, but I have helped start the take down of some here in Nebraska, where we have our first night in the 30's this week.

I'm getting around to it! I've only got one tiny pond, and I need to get in there and harvest the white clouds I put in back in May. BTW, I've got about 5 frogs using the pond; will they leave on their own, or should I do anything to help them overwinter? I was going to put styrofoam on top of the water, and run an airline to break the surface tension in the hopes of helping to prevent a complete freeze over. Will that help them?

Both of those will keep the water from freezing over, but honestly the bubbler will actually make the water colder. Better to run the smaller ponds without them. Instead a surface heater or even just the styrofoam floating does help. It also helps to take a hot pan and gently set it down making a hole in the surface daily during the winter to keep the ice open.
