i heard that you could use plants instead of breeding mops to hold the goldfish's eggs. is this true? If so what kind?

i think with goldfish it is best to use a spawning mop, but if u want plants, i suggest anarchris.

what exactly is a spawning mop? i've heard of them but i don't really know how they work.

string/yarn/mop head(of course not used)/ etccc..


just tied together and floated inside the tank, and tied at one point, so it is a point at the top and then the ends are spread out, this will hold the eggs, the goldfish should swim in and around the free floating ends and release eggs, in egg stactering fashion.

ur may find better help googleing rainbow fish breeding, as they use the spawning mop and is kinda the same.
