my fantail looks as though he has had a stroke, with the left side of his mouth not moving and then someimes when he eats his jaw looks like it goes out too far and then can't bring it back in again, is it possible that he can have had a stroke, and if not what could it be???

also my sisters comet is changing colour all of a sudden, it was very orange and now he is changing silver around his head and around his gills!! what could be the problem??

I'm not sure if fish can have strokes, has the fish broken it's jaw, and can it eat if not the fish will die sorry to say.

I think they can have strokes, i know they can have heart attacks?

i guess you just have to make sure he eats and the water is keep clean etc.

if it was a stroke be prepared that he might get quite sick.

and the colour change in your sisters fish probably normal - goldfish change colour at maturity and sometimes in old age. so long as scales are n't being lost or the area looks red or raised it is a normal part of goldies growing up.

all the best
