interesting goldfish situation | |
devon7 Big Fish Posts: 475 Kudos: 356 Votes: 4 Registered: 31-Aug-2004 | hehe here is an interesting situation. my cousin has a goldfish that was a prize from a bar for some dumb contest or something. well anyway, she lives in miami, and has a porcelain bathtub in her yard and the goldfish lives in it now! do you think the goldfish needs anything else to be happy? water changes? anything? so far so good, but its just a fish in a bathtub full of water. I should take pix next time i go to her house ^_^ |

me is already in use Fish Addict Posts: 596 Kudos: 99 Votes: 25 Registered: 02-Dec-2003 | I remember someone using a bath for a tank, but the most I can remember is that you should just make sure that the bathroom wasn't used too much, don't want soap with your goldy |

I think theres nothing in it but water and the fish! I think there might be 2 goldfish now I don't remeber, her friend won one also and didn't have anywhere to put it but i think it might have died... but there were originally 3, dont know if its just one or 2 left now. |

And shade, to keep the temperature steady and so the goldies can escape the sun and heat - just a tarp over one end or some floating plants will do. -Molly Visit shelldwellers.com! |

Goldfish are carp, so want faster moving water, and plenty of swimming room. Since it's in florida the summer temps are likely to be quite high so a pond pump that provides plenty of surface agitation will be needed as well. I'd also suggest that they do a bunch of research on goldfish care . ^_^ |
