They had goldfish/koi. i saw some nice 3-4 inch black koi for 14 and some nice new import white koi for around 20. this was odd being a plant store istead of a fish store. are these prices too much for these fish? |

How big where they for that price? It is not highway robbery by far. Reasonably priced cheap Koi, just be sure you're buying a fish you want, they will outlive you. koi edit: definately not odd, a lot of plant stores start watergardening sections and begin selling koi; much more profitable side venture than other things they could do. Black fish are hard to spot in the pond, whites have much nicer patterns available than that. Look for glittery gin rin scales and striking easily spotted colors for just a garden pond. Koi are huge and grow very fast; they are carp. Your pond is probably not anywhere near the four foot of depth they need. Koi Empty chairs at empty tables, the room silent, forlorn. |
