	new out door pond
bettachris Ultimate Fish Guru Posts: 3875 Kudos: 4173 Votes: 452 Registered: 13-Jun-2004	i was thinking for the summer can i get a up ground pond maybe 300 gallons. i aunt has about 5-6 large koi that need a home. i was planning on putting them in there. will it work.

But if they're very small and you're willing to keep on top of water quality, install major filtration and do regular water changes, maybe it would do as a very temporary measure till you can find them other homes. By the way, if you're doing this because you've always wanted a pond, trust me, you'll want one bigger than 300 gallons. They're addicting -- last year we enlarged ours to 500 gallons, and I'd love to go 2 or 3 times that size.
