But if they're very small and you're willing to keep on top of water quality, install major filtration and do regular water changes, maybe it would do as a very temporary measure till you can find them other homes. By the way, if you're doing this because you've always wanted a pond, trust me, you'll want one bigger than 300 gallons. They're addicting -- last year we enlarged ours to 500 gallons, and I'd love to go 2 or 3 times that size. |
