I have a new 77 gal tank, with 2 comets and 1 plecostomus.
I would like to add more cool water fish and live plants.
Does anyone have any suggestions?
Thanks

Welcome to FishProfiles!!!

Assuming it's a common pleco, I'd say you're pretty much stocked. All those shishies are big waste producers and contribute a lot to the bio load. You're ammonia levels might sky rocket if you add to much more. I'd wait for other opinions though, some people might disagree with me. HTH

EDIT: Just realized the plant bit. >.< Anachris makes a hardy plant that goldfish usually enjoy, and it does well in CW. It's cheap too. I'm not a big plant person so I can't really suggest more than that.

Yeah, that tank is definitly full. All of those fish have the potential to hit 18" and more. Most people will also tell you that the Comets don't even belong in a tank. They are so large and active that they really need a large pond.

Exactly...bcball, if you're looking to have a nice tank full of LOTS of fish, you may want to return the ones you have atm and start over. Then you can get a big community tank, with schoolers and centerpiece fish, and bottom dwellers, and have the tank filled out on all levels. Only thing is you'd have to heat it...

What are your thoughts on this?

Comets kinda belong in a pond.

commets get 2+ feet long, they're active swimmers and wont do the best in that size tank. They really should be in pond. I'd go with what FerretFanatic suggested, return the fish or build a pond, and go for a community tank. There are quite a few non goldfish coldwater fish that you could go with, or go for a tropical tank.

If you aren't too keen on the idea of heating the tank, you could always go with some WCMMs and several types of danios. I think some loaches can tolerate lower temperatures as well, but I'm not 100% sure about this. Though, WCMMs and danios in a 77 gallon tank might look silly.

If you decide to change your stock around and get a heater, let us know. We'd be more than willing to help you out with stocking.
