what!!! frozen goldfish | |
matt&his_cichlids Fingerling Posts: 43 Kudos: 47 Votes: 2 Registered: 10-Jan-2005 | i was watching a documentry on pay-tv on ornamental carps. i seen gold fish go in to vats and be cooled to just about freezing temps and then put on a barge for live exporting for aquarium and pond fish. is this a load of crap or is this what happens. |

Carp (goldfish and koi) are kept in garden ponds all over the world, even in places where temperatures drop very cold and the ponds freeze over. As long as the pond is deep enough that the Ice doesn't reach all the way to the bottom, the fish are just fine come Spring. Hoping that there must be a word for everything I mean... |
