Oy - such an impossible question!

Okay, then categories:

Easiest goldfish to find a gorgeous example of easily: Ryukin

Goldfish that is spectacular in very good examples but all too easy to find bad ones (and they look it): Ranchu

Goldfish that always looks adorable as anything in good photos but rarely looks good in real life: Lionhead

Goldfish that I think is the number one most drop-dead gorgeous but too much of a hassle to keep: Tosakin

Best goldfish-to-be: Canakin

Coolest-looking in general: Pearlscale

Most interesting pond fish: Jikin

Pond fish that looks best at adulthood: any kind of Shubunkin

Best "basic" fish, highly underrated: Oranda

Most common and therefore underappreciated beautiful goldfish: common

My favorite fancy goldfish would be Wakins. They look as close to a common goldfish as any fancy could. That's why I like them, I'm not into the crazy looking goldfish. To me, most fancies look like they are in pain.

I my pearlie! But hmm... I would agree with you on the Canakin, Little Mousling! Have they actually managed to create (for lack of a better word) one yet? That will be one stunning fish.

It's going to take a while, but they have some fish that are getting there, definitely. The hard part is making it a strain that breeds true.
