I have a 10g tank set up with a GSP in it. The substrate is currently sand. I am moving the GSP into a 20g and was planning on using Aragonite (the semi-coarse grains) in it. Would this be a good idea? I was also considering using that Fiji Pink. What do you all think? By the way, I am slowly converting him to salt water (.017 right now).

Aragonite or crushed coral is fine. How big is your puffer? There isn't any good info on the long term effect of bringing a juvie GSP up to SW too soon.

The puffer is about 2". I really would like to get a 30g where he will end up living, but I don't have the space or money right now. It's been bothering me a long time that he is in a 10g, so I am really excited about moving him.

BTW, how much substrate do I need? 20lbs for 20g or more?

Thanks.
