first off, yes yes i know about all the links from google and yahoo and dont want them again because I havent found this there.

so this is to those who can actaully answer it.

but what is the best substrate for dragon gobys? i'm setting up a 40g tank, going to put egg crate on the bottom, because instead of plants and caves, i'm putting in a number of large stones.

and was thinking about using either small gravel or sand to fill the egg crate in and just barely cover it.

and i'm not worried about sand with the filters. already planning around that.

Thats a really interesting choice. Are you going to be putting anything else in the tank because that could be a very cool brackish oddball aquarium. BTW from what I have read and seen they should be happy with sand. I'd like to see this tank when its set up so post pics

I'll have many pics when its done, as i'm making my own canister filter for this.

but as of now, i'm leaning toward species only tank. so i'm going to get 2 or 3 of them

So I am thinking in order to maintain the hardest water & PH perameters they need try mixing the sand with aragonite. Cant wait to see pics of this tank.

How are you making your filter? Pics and plans?
