what are your water parameters. also the cloudy water probably means that their is a bacteria bloom

Ammonia, nitrItes, nitrAtes, pH & SG (specific gravity, a measurement of salt, measured by a hydrometer).

I know this sounds strange, but sometimes I have experienced a bacterial bloom (milky water), then the ammonia spike followed as it cleared. Keep checking for ammonia. It must be zero.

Have you checked for nitrites? I would expect the cories to be affected by either ammonia or nitrites first.

What size tank is this? How many fish total are there and how many of each kind? What kind of filtration do you have (hang on the back, in the hood, cannister, undergravel, etc.).

What temperature is the tank? Are they hanging near the surface or bottom?

Answers to these can all help us.

Can you go to your local fish store and get some test results for us?? most lfs will offer free tests. And if you dont have any kits it time to buy some.
