ok, i know i havent posted in a bit (i blame the computer for not working) but yesterday i came home with quite a treasure or a few of them

i got
2 gold rams, 1 male 1 female 5.99 each
2 blue rams, 1 male 1 female 5.99 each
3 threadfins normaly 5.99 each, but i took the deal and got 3 for 14.99
1 sm. pleco 2.99 (im not sure what kind it is, but i am 99% sure its not a common, much nicer looking)
1 crowntail betta (im a sucker i know)
oh, and i got a brine shrimp net for 1.99
with a tax of 3.00 it all came to 52.92

i finished filling up and scaping the 55 gallon, just need a little more sand from the 20 gallon and the plants will be happy (seeings how the tank is getting the light fixture from 2 20 gallons and a 29 untill i can get another 50 bucks fror a compact hood)

im selling a 20 long and filter for 45 bucks so i will get my alounce (whatever chris) and i will be up 65, so i can get the 2 corys from walmart, an angel, and maybe somthig else that strikes my fancy

going in the 55 will be 5 rams (2 blue, 2 gold, 1 bolivian) 2 corys (not counting yet the 2 others i will be getting) 3 threadfins (i want to get more females, they only had the one female, so i got 2m 1f ) 3 zebra danios, (was gunna get 3 more, for .99 each but i dident have time 5 ottos, and thats whats for now, i will most likely be getting a gold gouramis from my ortho office (when i saw it , it was in horrable shape, they will call monday on what they want to do about it)

i want 2 angels also, and the 55 will be a breeding tank for all of them

Sounds like great fun and a nice assortment! There is nothing quite like setting up a new aquarium and stocking it.

Ooo... Fun fun fun! Sounds like you've got lots of plans... can't wait to see pictures.

I went shopping yesterday, too. I tore down and completely redid my 12 gallon and came home with two male bettas and four girls. The girls went into the 12. I spent more than I intended to yesterday.

I hope you have a quarantine tank.
Especially in buying fish from 'non-fish' stores.
Good precaution, isolate new fish for a month (I'd do longer)

Where did you get the rams ? You got a good deal there !!

lol yes chris im selling alisha a 20 long (possibly filter if i can get some parts)

but all the new fish came from a fish store not walmart(not like walmart would stock rams)

i checked them over for problems, and after a clean bill of health (for the most part) they were added to the 55 so far the 2 femal rams r palling around (oh joy ) and the males r also haning together the threadfins colored up so pretty and the zebra danios are lovving the swimming room (they look so lonely with only 3 the 2 corys never see eachother so that means the 2 or more corys i get today should help but the 55 is sort of acting like my quarintine although i tore down the 20 (took everything but substrait and a few plants out) did a water change on it, ran it fishless last night, added 3 bettas to keep the cycle, and now im just waiting for the phone call about the gouramis (i hope he makes it

and the rams r 1.5in alraady, but they also were sellijg half-inchers for 6 bucks too] if they were cheaper i would have come home with many more

but im gunna go now and chris (tell me your stock and i will grab a centerpiece for the 55)
