I think I want to try a New Zealand biotope
The tank will probably be a 15g (I know its not big but I think the fact that its shorter than a 20g will help grow the glosso )

Apparently there are livebearers there
I might try to get a couple of these

Does anyone know where I can find glosso in sydney? & also where I can find "Koaro (Galaxiasbrevipinnis)"?

Would,
2 mollies (male)
4 guppies
1 swordtail
& 2-4 Koaro
work?
Or would it be the swordtail or the guppies?

Thanks

i just want to say that i highly doubt you will be able to get those fish in oz
But if you think you can somehow, i'd make a post at a NZ forum

Mollies and swordtails need a bigger tank. IMO you willl never be able to get that fish that looks like a weather loach in aus. Are you sure all those fish are from N/Z??? Also there are not many plants in newzealand that you will be able to get in aus. If you are gong to do a biotype why not do an amazonian or a lake tang biotype.

Really? I thought mollies can go in 10 gals (only about 2 or 3 though ) hmm

Uhh.. Why? I can get weather loaches so why cant I get look-a-likes?

Are you sure all those fish are from N/Z???
Pretty sure, im not necesarilly going for natives, just ones that live there. See the links (I trust them )

Beacuse I want something out-of-the-ordinary & I miss New Zealand :#(

Any chance I could get a bully?

Well.. So wouldn't it be a biotope if the fish are "pests"?

Thanks for the list..

No, it wouldn't.

The stocking list in your first post should be called a "Central American biotope with one out-of-place fish".

I hear ya dude.. I'd do an SA biotope in a flash, but some other fish/plants I like are from other areas. Mind you a large amazon sword snuck into my tank, no idea how it got there, and when I pickup my german blue rams the guy is throwing in a starter bit of e tenellus, so who would I be to refuse ?

The Amazon Nut...
