So I have decided to change around my 10g a bit
I am getting rid of the umpteen guppies in there,
as all the fry are almost saleable and the paradise fish has been preventing new fry growing very well.
I will have this leftover when the guppies are gone:
1 Paradise Fish F
5 Cory Hasbrosus
1 Otto

I am going to replace the white substrate with either
smaller black rounded gravel, or eco-complete.
I am also going to add some driftwood and rocks for a more natural stream feel.
I am also going to remove the vallisneria and amazon swords and just keep wisteria, cabomba carolinia and ambulia.
Heres what I am considering putting in instead of the Guppies.

6 thredfins i think would be too many, id also watch out for their fins aswell with that paradise fish in the tank with them. They can be pretty nippy. Id go with 6 zebra danios, or some cherry barbs.

The best option if you wanted to go with the threadfin rainbows would be to move the paradise fish. I have one, and he is great and all, but he always chases my dwarf neon rainbows. He never gets 'em because their fins are so short, but with the threadfin, i'd be wary...

I cannot move my Paradise Fish.
I have Gouramis in my 75g (pearlsx4, 1 dwarf)
and my Angels would try to kill it in my 25g they are
very picky about who shares their breeding tank.
The paradise fish has to stay. She has not shown
any nipping of the guppies fins at all.

Well if you really want to try out the thread fins i would go with 3 first and see how they make out with the paradise fish, then if its all good then i would add 3 more.

I second Jason, add Otos and Cories.

Sneaky, how much light do you have on the tank? I find that my Ambulia and Cabomba do much better with higher lighting ([link=See Here]http://www.fishprofiles.com/files/forums/Aquascaping/61406_2.html" style="COLOR: #ff6633[/link]). I would assume the same to be true for Wisteria.

Sneaky,

Wow, well that’s a lot of light ( *looks at your avatar and understands its meaning* )

In this case you will have no problems with your plants. For the fishes sake I would suggest that you do not place some wood in front of the heater and filter intake (space reasons), just plant that area and your utilities will disappear over time.

Instead use wood to create a roofed shelter for your fishies (no matter which ones you get) so they don’t have to wear their sunglasses all day

And with so much light the suggested Otos will come in handy in case you get an algae problem.
