How about a couple of the smaller Gouramis such as Dwarves, Licorice or Chocolate? Or possibly a group of male Killifish. For something realy different get rid of the zebras, add a small cave and put in a mated pair of Lamprologus Cylindricus.

I voted other.
Guppies are cool to look at, but like neons, they don't move much. Get more danios, especially the longfin variety, or if you really want attention, glowfish! Danios are so hyper that, with good looking ones, you'll be set.

get 5-6 Male guppies, all with different coloured tails and bodies. If you get the ones with the really fancy tails they will really brighten the tank and look like little flamenco dancers ^_^

Try overstocked alex...BN wouldn't work in a 10...too much waste.

4 Male guppies with 4 (meh 6 maybe if it can be done)pygmy cory's for the bottom

My second choice would be 2 Female bettas and 6 Tetras

10's are hard not to overdo

If you can select several small fish of different bright colourful fish, the other staff members might take some interest. It is actually a work space not for your personal benifit, but if they can see it is a relaxing atmostphere I think you will get a different responce.

Have a look in [link=My Profile]http://

Since so many people at the office have commented that the 10 only has "two little fish" and that I should remove the tank to make room for more people to work I've decided that I'll just have to get something for the tank to make it look fuller.

It's currently rather moderatly planted. Mostly java fern but with some rotala indica as well. Plain gravel, a few rocks bits of driftwood for the java.
Two "mini" filters
Two rather small zebra danios that are close to their end.

What's your choice for stocking.

I'd go with a group of male guppies too.

First, stuff it with more plants

Then, maybe harley rasboras? They dont need that much room, they'd float around more than actively school, they're not zippers like danios.

If you are trying to get the attention of office members than you want something that will catch their eye. Look at it this way. What catches a child's attention will probably be what catches their attention. They want somethign interesting. Something that is "friendly" and somewhat active would be best. 6-7 Male Guppies and maybe 2-3 Otos. Guppies love to come right up to the front of the tank and "wave" to you when you come by. People love that. Get the brighter the guppies the better. Trust me that will change their minds. It may not be what you would decide on for a tank because that may not be what interests you about keeping fish but look at it this way, the people who have a problem with the tank probably have no clue how to take care of fish and think your tank is boring. They probably think that the tank should look like the ones on the front of the boxes that the 10 gallon combo's come in which are WAY overstocked with fish that definitely do not belong in those tanks anyway, right? They hav eno clue what it takes to take care of a fish ank I bet. Treat this as is you were going to set up a room in your son or daughter's room. Make it fun and interesting looking for them. Maybe you should get a colorful background for it if you haven't all ready. Have fun with it. Sorry this is such a long post. I know i probably started rambling in there somewhere. I hope it helped though.

I'd personally stay away from gouramis in a ten, they just don't do as well as they should. I don't care that much for guppies either, but that's just my opinion. I think I'd get a small school of cards and perhaps a dwarf plec or a pair of ottos,or substitute harlies for the cards. Harlies are very hardy little fish that would do well in a ten. just a thought

Go with the guppies, the more colorful the better. Around 6-8 would be could for this size of tank. I personally feel that guppies are probably only second to goldfish for getting people initally interested in the hobby. Low demanding and easy to maintain for the most part. Another advantage is they are relatively inexpensive.

Beckfords Pencilfish or Threadfin Rainbows come
to mind instantly. Colorful small fish that are active or unusual and love planted tanks!
Thats what I am doing next, one of those two,
or maybe some of each in my 10g tank.

I love pencilfish. They are great little guys.
