I a small 10 gallon tank with the following fish

3- pygmy cory
2- Sparkling Gourami
6- Black Neons
1- Cherry Barb

The corys and Gourami stay real small 1-1 1/2.

Is this to many. I have the lone cherry barb the longest but he would be the one to go. My other tanks are larger but pretty much maxed out as well.

Although the stock isn't the best, it should be fine. With weekly water changes and gravel vacs, you should be able to maintain a safe nitrate level. Even if you were to remove the cherry barb, not much would change. So I'd leave it as is.

Your stock is fine. Those are all low bioload fish and the corys help clean up the extra food. If you like you could even bump up the cory number to 6 or so total, and get the cherry barb a friend or two. Beyond that I wouldn't do anything.
