cherry barbs need to be in a bigger school than that.. maybe some balloon mollies or guppies/endlers instead.. like 3 of them? I dont know much about ADF's, but i think that may be too many..

72 gallon bowfront:Tanganyikan Lake set up
75 gallon: A. Baenschi trio,Cyanotilapia Afra Cobwe(4), copadichromis trewavase, protomelas sp. tangerine tiger(breeding pair)

the cherry barb: schooler or loner? debate has gone for some time now. I've seen no difference in health/behavior of lone cherries as opposed to schoolin' cherries.. i think they'll be fine.

That tank is gonna look empty! But it'll work

We've got some cherries in our 20 that started off with about 6-8 but have dwindled down to a male and female at the moment.

we noticed that even in large schools they pretty much kept to themselves - rarely schooling like most barbs do.

I don't really want the look of a cluttered tank, since my betta boy is pretty big and has perfect long flowing fins. I had him in a 2.5 then put him in a 10 and hes much more happier now it seems. Maybe a school of 6 neons, betta, and 2 frogs? I'm not sure how much of a bioload the frogs have.

I'm pretty sure guppies would get harrased by my betta. My betta was harrassing my rams when i had them in the tank so i had to move him out again.

I have a betta in a tank full of endlers (full meaning like 15 of them.. see profile for details) and he is just fine...doesnt chase after them and keeps to his own.. if they get too close he just pushes them out of the way.. oh and Tim, you are right about the cherry barbs.. i was thinking of a different fish.. oops! Cherrys are ok as loners.. they usually will keep to themselves... fyi, they look good in a planted tank
