There are plenty to choose from, but make sure that you keep the tank water, as stable & possible. http://uk.pg.photos.yahoo.com/ph/s8xi5heh/my_photos http://www.geocities.com/s8xi5heh/classic_blue.html http://groups.yahoo.com/group/buzaqq/ Last edited by jasonpisani at 29-Nov-2005 11:49 http://www.flickr.com/photos/corydoras/ Member of the Malta Aquarist Society - 1970. http://www.maltaaquarist.com |

If you want breeding fish, try a pair if kribs but dont add anything else. Make sure you have lots of little holes and a grow out tank for the fry. Have you ever tried cherry barbs? They would do get in a tank that size that is planted since they can be shy at times. You could put about 7 in that size tank. I had 4 and 2 cories in a 10 gallon and there was still plenty of room. A school of tetras, the smaller ones, would work too. |

I'd stay away from all but the smaller corys as they're really quite active and wouldnt get to romp about if they have an adult size much more than 1.5" ^_^ ![]() ![]() |
Patchy![]() Enthusiast Posts: 224 Kudos: 195 Votes: 0 Registered: 25-Sep-2005 | i have seen shellies around here before, so i guess i cant do that. looking at the tank i think i may go with 6 neons and a male betta (hopefully a nice blue and red one) if i can fix the flow rate down a little bit. thanks for the ideas and keep them coming nothings concrete yet ![]() |

Or a school of Harlequin Rasboras. You could have a Betta or a Dwarf Gourami as the centerpiece. Shellies would definitely be cool. If I could find them around here I would set me up a 10g for them. Like you said, you could breed rams, or maybe even smaller cories. A planted tank looks great with tetras and a Betta. I have a 10g planted with 6 neons, a male Betta..who is blue, and 2 ottos. I love my tank. The thread about the 10g..next to this one..has some good suggestions in it. You could do any of the suggestions from that thread. Check it out. :%) There is also a pic (kinda big though) of my 10g on there. |

They stay small around 1" sometimes a little less. They can be hard to find, but I fell in love with them when I saw them. You could have a bunch of them in your tank as well. Check out the pix and read some bios on them. Those these photos do not do them justice. http://www.ecoanimal.com.br/site/fotosup/produtos/rasboramaculata.gif http://habitatnews.nus.edu.sg/guidebooks/freshfish/photos/205.jpg Last edited by AngelZoo at 05-Dec-2005 12:26 |
