im converting my s. american cichlid tank into a arowana tank. as of right now im going with:
-1 silver arowana
-3 bala sharks
-6 silver dollars
-1 pangasius cat

that is the main goal for this tank, but i was hoping to toss in some other fish. do i have enough room for more?am i already over over stocked? what will be better?

A 135g isn't big enough for a arowana. Also the silvers and balas would be eaten when the arowana get bigger. You need a minimum of a 2ft wide tank

Even the largest arrowanas won't eat fish as large as balas or silver dollars. A full grown silver can't even fit into one's mouth. Believe me: a family member of mine has nearly the same exact setup. No deaths as of yet. However, I agree that the mentioned tank is not nearly large enough for a silver.

sounds good. for now n.e wazs depending on how big the arowana will grow. i wouldn't add the silver dollars, but maybe a pacu would be large enough to not eat snacked on.

the pangasius catfish isn't suitable either (irridescent shark is what most know them as) They can grow to be monsters. Most fishstores i find are misleading and say they only grow to 8 inches or so.
