When my exams are over my parents say I can get a new tank, if I do good. I'm not sure what tank Im gettin, but it will be between 20-30 Gallons. In it I want a school of corys. I was wondering if I could put a Red tailed black shark in or maybe some silver sharks ? Also any other stockin suggestions would be good thank u !!!!

silver sharks get over a foot long, so no. You can't put them in a 20-30 gallon. You might be able to put a red tailed black shark in but you would need to watch aggression as they get very aggressive as they get older.

So, I guess you think you did good.

Either shark might be pushing it. Plus, bigger fish tend to be unexciting. Since you have cories, (lively, but stay close to the bottom) you might want to look into some mid-water fish like tetras. Otherwise, the bottom of the tank would look very crowded and the top and middle would be bare.

The tank isn't set up yet. The tank size isn't even decided, so how could there be any corys in there?

If you are getting corys then you should not get the sharks and look more towards top and middle area fish like tetras. Here are some ideas:
20 gallon:
6 corys (any sort) Or 1 bristle nose
6 small tetras (any sort) Or 6 harlequin rasboras
2 dwarf cichlids Or 2 small gouramis (like dwarf, honey, flame, coral, croaking.)Or 4 sparkling gouramis

25 gallon
8 corys (any sort) Or 1 bristle nose and 3 otos
8 small tetras (any sort) Or 8 harlequin rasboras
2 dwarf cichlids
Or 2 gouramis (like dwarf, honey, flame, coral, croaking) Or 1 big gourami (like gold, opaline, pearl, 3-spot)
Or 4 sparkling gouramis

30 gallon
6 corys or any sort
6 tetras or harlequin rasboras
6 tetras or halrequins rasboras
2 dwarf cichlids or 2 gouramis or any sort.
1 bristle nose catfish

Do you like any of these?
