How does this sound?
2 bolivian rams
10 neons
8 black phantoms

I have an aquaclear 50, 2 amazon swords and about 7 java ferns ATM. I'm going to pick up some crypts down the road too.

I think fish wise your good. Plant-wise a 20 gallon long might be kinda tight for amazon swords which tend to grow tall. How many wpg are your running?

I agree the A Swords will get too big for that size tank. Also what lighting are you using.

Have a look in [link=My Profile]http://

I bought the swords a year ago. I really didn't know anything about plants. I wound up loosing a few, but there are still 2 in there which are pretty much green. They don't grow very fast, but they are doing ok. I only have 1 wpg, but they're in the middle of the tank, so they get the most of it. My school is setting up tanks, I'll donate them if I can.

With 1 wpg the swords are just hanging on and will never get big. You really need to stick with more java fern, java moss, crypt and use more hardscape to make it all work.

You can replace the Amazon Swords with some Jave Fern. The fish stocking is very interesting & looks good.

I understand the swords won't grow too much, but there's nothing I can do ATM. The store I got them from is very far away and none of the stores by me have good lighting either. I'm gona wait until I either get a new tank or until I can donate them to school. However, the tanks in school aren't set up yet, so I can't do anything ATM.

BTW I recounted. The smaller sword has 7 leaves. The larger ones has 15.

I'd love to get more java fern, but I honestly don't have any more holes or anything on my driftwood. I've tried growing them onto large pebbles on the gravel, but this takes a while. I'd rather get some crypts or something I can plant directly into the substrate.

EDIT: what are your suggestions for hardscape? Right now, I have two 8" pieces of driftwood and a 6"x2"x3" piece of rock. I also have a couple of littler rocks stacked up in the center.

This is my tank]http://photobucket.com/albums/b287/silver_fish_/20%20gallon%20long/?action=view&current=tank2Aa.jpg

I want to plant wisteria here

Wisteria is a big plant and would look good in the back. how many do you think I should buy?

I would like to put some crypts here

Crypts are small and should make good foreground plants. How many do you think I should buy?

Also, I'd like to put some moss on the hardscape and possibly on the gravel as a carpet plant. I'm thinking 2 chunks should do?
