hi guys,

i just got a free 25G tank from a friend, no fish but everything else, he use to keep breeding green terrors in it, now i have it with no fish and no idea what to keep for it, due to it's size i know i'm restricted with species.

i'm thinking i want to set it up for breeding to, buit have no idea what species would suit a 25g ?

any ideas?

What do you like?

I'd cram a dozen tiger barbs in it

That'd work. Just make sure you've got a bunch of hiding spots. you'll be able to tell who the dominant male is in time. You'll be better off if you had a smaller tank to seperate the female to once they breed. Better success then

Tiger barbs

Good luck with the labs if you decide on them, they're pretty

Well if you want to use it as a breeding tank I'm out of ideas, seeing as how I don't know of any fish that won't eat their young off the top of my head.

Otherwise, a few suggestions from the peanut gallery.

Blue Tetras! Beautiful once they get on a good diet and settle in, but active like danios, they will also school.

Pygmy Rasbora! They also are gorgeous! They don't get very big so you could have many of them.
This photo does not do them justice, they are a lot more red/pink!

Both fish would look wonderful in a dark coloured tank.

Yellow Labs. are really cool & 6 would great in a 25 gal. tank.
Make sure you'll have some hiding places & you'll enjoy them.
