| 29 gal with angels | |

Angels should be kept in tanks taller than 18 inches. I'd also keep only a pair, and tetras and corys woul dbe perfect tankmates. Large angels may eat very small tetras, but there are larger species like rummynoses, lemons, diamond, black neons, etc. that are a bit too large for angels to consider food. They like to lay eggs on broad-leaved plants like swords. Small or veil-finned angels may have a hard time with a lot of current, especially if it's near the surface, but there are some filters that cause very little water movement, and I would use one of these that is rated for a 50 gal or larger tank instead of two smaller filters. An AquaClear or bio-wheel filter may be your best bet. Hoping that there must be a word for everything I mean... |

heaven2![]() Mega Fish Posts: 1065 Votes: 0 Registered: 10-Jun-2002 ![]() | Bettas and angels rarely mix well. More often than not, trouble arrises. Pearl gouramies are more apt to be cited as angel compatible than other similar sized species. I would avoid blues, moonlights, threespots etc. |
