I will be getting a 29 gallon this weekend and don’t know what to stock it with. I want a gold gourami, a schooling fish(danios, tetras) an angel fish, and khuli loaches. Hows it sound?

You can get a pair of Angels & a school of Tetra's + some bottom feeders Corydoras or Khuli Loaches.

I wouldnt' suggest danios in that tank, for one they may go after the angel.

If your looking to get school I'd go with the smaller tetras like cards or neons. If' they're large enough when added and in the tank before the angel you're likely to not have a problem with the angel having them for lunch .

I have an angel with danios and it is the opposite. The angel goes after the danios and chases them around for some fun .

Angels get big too- most 29 gals will not be tall enough for their eventual needs. Id stick to getting a nice variety of much smaller fish, much more interesting in the long run. Angels are predators but have small mouths , a lot of gouramies would be too big for them to eat , but by the same token gouramis can be territorial, it can be done but probably isnt the happiest mix.

I would be cautious about adding gouramis and angel fish. Gouramis are notorious carriers of a parasite called Hexamita (sp?) and Angels are very susceptible to it....difficult to treat to.
