She always wanted a small tank so i am setting up the minibow. Question i have is will a topfin 10 gallon filter be to much for it? I have it hooked up now it seems a little strong but since guppys are going to be in there anyways (they prefer a current anyways) I could probabally push the stocking a little bit to 3 male guppys. Of course i will try and put an ornament in front of intake which should nerf the flow a little from the intake end atleast. Anyone with suggestions/experience with small tanks and overfiltration? |

Also where exactly are you putting the bio max? It truly doesn't seem like all that much suction to me, i put my finger over it and its barely anything. Also the guppies like current though right? I was gonna buy like 2 males to put in there. The real movement is on the top but its filled all the way so i doubt it will bother them to much. Well i guess i'll need a backup plan if this filter is to strong, any other recomendations on a filter? |

Guppies love currents as they swim through and get what I call: flurried!!!! They get pushed by the current to the other end of teh tank, then they swim back and do it all again!![]() ![]() They like being in groups of 3.![]() |

There are alot of colours to choose from & you don't get fry. ![]() http://uk.pg.photos.yahoo.com/ph/s8xi5heh/my_photos http://www.geocities.com/s8xi5heh/classic_blue.html http://www.flickr.com/photos/corydoras/ Member of the Malta Aquarist Society - 1970. http://www.maltaaquarist.com |
