Sometimes people start small logically enough because they think it will be easier to manage, but as regards water quality, a bigger tank gives you more room for error. A 20 gal is a nice size for a beginner, not big , not too small and gives you a bit more room for plants and maybe a small shoal of something for interest sake. |
