A big school of harleys

loaches (yo-yos or another small kind)

gourami if that's your thing

you could def. get away with 4 true SAES

Hmm. So many ideas.

Or you could go a different route and have a south american type set up - try to start a breeding colony of apistos, and use dither fish like cardinals/ black neons for the top levels. In which case you may have to get some plants - but anubias/ java fern will do.

By the way, what happened to the tiger barbs

Back in the saddle!

I just may be getting another 55g myself in a month or two, and this is what I was thinking:

~RTB or rainbow shark, maybe albino, purchased rather small so it hopefully won't turn into a terror

~a school of 8-10 tiger barbs OR harlequin rasboras

~4 yoyo loaches

~1, maybe 2 opaline gouramis (I prefer that coloration, but they're the same as blue, 2 spot, gold, etc etc)

~3 Siamese algae eaters or flying foxes

~java fern and maybe some wendtiis

Nice Asian setup
