You can go two ways. Get a mix of colourful compatable small fish that will stand out against the various shades of green.

The other way is one very big school of the same colourful species this can be very effective if done correctly.

My Betta 11G tank is basically Cardinal Tetras and one Red Blue (Ocean Green) its called M Betta.

I have said this before I can always remember a 5ft tank full of Jave fern and 100s of Cardinal Tetras the colour combination is fantastic Red/blue against green.

One thing is keep it to a very nutural natural coloured substrate. This is the main part also keep away from any artifical bits and pieces as this can and is usually very distractive.

Near enough is not good enough, therefore good enough is not near enough, and only your best will do.

10 tiger barbs
1 RTBS
a gourami
or no RTBS and some yoyo loaches.

basically you'll need something that wont take any carp* from tiger barbs.

Just think of your favorite fishes and if they will get along. i cant tell you what to get but i suggest striped peacock eels a very nice looking fish smaller and more peacefull than the average peacock eel. not that hardy a fish though
P.S. you can only have 1 per 30 gallons

i always thought that tigers would nip at angels, but why not increase the school size, that would look nice in a green tank.
