Thats not bad as long as the tanks in good shape. The only thing is that I find most heaters and filters that come with tanks from people are undersized.

[font color="#800080"]Not a bad deal, stand and tank will likely cost about that. I would say make arrangements to see it before agreeing on a price. Especially if the acrylic is scratched at all.
I also agree that often tank equipment is underrated on used tanks a lot, which is likely why they quit keeping fish .

Sounds like a great deal to me...just be sure that it doesn't leak!!! Put in say 5-6 inches of water in the totally empty tank and let it sit and see, then if it holds add maybe up to 10 inches...

I know my 55 gallon that I filled some last night looked good till it had 6 inches and sat 10 minutesthen well, out with the python pumping water, once again out the doormy poor neighbors now know i'm insane

Go get it, before it disappears, heidi

You can skip that step. If I'm not mistaken, it's one of the pros to acrylic; the fact that all the seams are bonded together so that you really can't get a leak. At least, not very easily.

Yeah, with acrylic tanks it's actually easier to spring a leak right in the middle of the front pane than it is to get one on a bonded corner.

It's a great deal. A new setup like that could cost more than twice that amount.

To add on to what I said before: That's slightly less that it's actual value, so you are saving. However, if it includes lighting (most expensive part of a tank) it's an awsome deal.
