	35 gallon stocking
ClownyGirl Fish Addict Posts: 508 Kudos: 311 Votes: 5 Registered: 07-Oct-2004	My hubby managed to find me a 5 inch pair of black convicts - male and female, not paired up yet, and not breeding, but he is bringing them home. I currently have the following in my 35 gallon tank: 1 pair of breeding Jewels 1 pair of 2 inch paired up Convicts (not breeding yet) 3 juvenile salvinis I want to know what fish to retain, wat to give away? I do want to keep the new pair of convicts for sure, so please advise.

They would need a much larger tank than that to coexist somewhat peacefully in there. Probably 55 gallons or up if you returned 2 of the salvinis. Also, since you have a pair of convicts and a pair of jewels, both pairs will become much more aggressive when breeding and the convicts will most likely kill the jewels. sumthin_fishy Enthusiast Posts: 237 Kudos: 314 Votes: 16 Registered: 13-Aug-2004	hang on... so you currently have a pair of convicts in there and you want to add another pair? once the convicts start breeding they will become way to aggressive for the other fish and will most probably kill them. 1 pair of cons will easily overstock you in no time
