How many fish do you have already in the tank? Does it provide hiding spaced (plants, caves, driftwood)? What is the footprint of the tank? Did your Kribs form pairs already (if not, you might have 4 individuals with 4 spaces for them)? Will your rams pair up (if not, you might have 2 individuals with 2 spaces for them)? See what I mean? They come from different continents & they need different water parameters. http://uk.pg.photos.yahoo.com/ph/s8xi5heh/my_photos http://www.geocities.com/s8xi5heh/classic_blue.html http://groups.yahoo.com/group/buzaqq/ http://www.flickr.com/photos/corydoras/ Member of the Malta Aquarist Society - 1970. http://www.maltaaquarist.com |

They'll defend a territory pretty viciously, especially against similar looking fish. Rams, on the other hand, are quite timid (one I had was killed by my betta ), and will not stand up to such attacks. Since they're both fish that require a territory, I wouldn't put any rams in with four kribs. I wouldn't even put any rams in my 60-gallon that has two kribs (and I'm pretty sure they're both males). In fact, you may want to rethink having four kribs... the two I have pick on each other quite a bit, I can't imagine it with four in that much space, they would probably always have another krib within sight. May I recommend instead some more resilient cichlids, such as a firemouth (so long as you don't have any really small fish) or gouramis?><> |
