how much would a new black 55 all glass aquarium normally cost. with only a double stand, no hood etc....

i bought mines about 7 months ago for 88usd. my lfs is selling the same "sale" for 99usd. Would this be a good price, i was thinking of stocking up on some.

I never see them for less than $99. You are stocking up on some? lol. It always seems like you have so many tanks but you never disclose your fish collection.

How much they cost depends on your location, type of store (chain, private, etc), if there are any sales or promotions...

You can also check www.craigslist.com - a lot of people list as moving sale and you can get some real nice tanks on there for cheap... or even free if they are looking to get rid of it fast.

Otherwise, I haven't really seen a 55gl for less than $100 either. (even without the hood, light, etc)

99 isn't a bad price, considering. It's not stellar considering the stand is probably 30 bucks and the aquarium is probably 60-80. Meh, there are better deals if you look around.

Around my parts thats a so so price. Try craigslist like rjmcbean. Its the spring so a lot of people are going to be moving and are going to have to get rid of a tank or will find themselves looking to upgrade and will have their old tanks to get rid of.
