Currently I have a 55 gallon lowlight tank with driftwood, anacharis, java fern, amazon swords and wisteria. I currently have 6 platys, 9 long finned zebra danios and 4 golden zebra loaches. I would like to add 6 cories(not sure which kind), a school of small tetras and 2 cherry barbs. Would this be overstocked? I do a weekly 50% water change, vaccum the foreground areas, and poke around the plants with the end of my net to get what I can out. Also, I'm not sure which kind of cories and tetras to get. I have a natural colored substrate. I like head and tailight tetras as well as lemon tetras but I think that might be too much silver in the tank because of all the danios. Any suggestions or opinions would really help me out. Thanks.

Depending on the temperment of the danios you have you may have some issues mixing them with tetras. I have mixed danios and white skirts in one tank and they're fine. Had mixed danios and diamond tetras in another and there was one danio that just didnt like anyone :%).

As for which kinds of corys. I'd stick to the hardier ones since you already have a school of bottom dwellers. Maybe look to bronze or albino bronze.

I think you will be happy with the Bronze Cories as they seen a hardier variety.

Yes bronze cories would go quite well. I was also interested in bandit cories. If I dont get tetras what else would go well in this setup?

You can add a school of Bandit or Arcuatus Corydoras & a school of Buenos Aires Tetra.

i would go for some rainbow fish that are a little big but not to big if they are to big they will pic on all your fish and they are so fast so they will beable ro get away if they try to fight back and you would end up with a lot of dead fish and you wont like that. I know you want the fish in the tank to live and not die. [img src='/images/forums/halo.gif' border=0]
