Hello everyone, I have a new 55 gallon tank with 8 platies in it. I was thinking of adding 4 to 6 corys and 2 to 4 angels. What do you guys think?

You can add a school of 6/8 Corydoras & 4 Angels.

Go with at least six cories, more would be even better. Be forewarned that the angels will probably eat any platy fry. You could also add some sort of algae eater, like a BN.

go with 10-15 corries for the bottomhey the more the merrier, right

and for grins, let the platties do there thing, sit back, watch, and enjoy....let us know when the tank becomes overstocked

Otherwise Neon tetras might be a nice addition and definately a BN

That is a decent size tank. Good for you, so many options available to you.

Enjoy

I agree, add 4 angels, and then 10-15 cory cats.
You could do one big school of the same type, or
2 smaller schools of 2 diff types.
I find some of the more attractive corys are
peppers, metaes, pandas, hasbrosus, sterbai, schwartzi,
ambiacus, trilineatus and bronze.

Oh Sneaky Pete that would be good

Now looking at the thoughts, I'd go with 8-10 Scwartzi Corries, and another school of [link=8-10 metae Corries]http://www.fishprofiles.com/files/profiles/metae.xml" style="COLOR: #FF1493[/link]...The Schwartzi would keep the metaes active and both look great I've been noticing my Schwartzi in the living room tank swimming at the speed of late up and down, back and forth...ok all I really see is this spot zoom past:%)It would be a really nice tank, and quite active, don't forget the driftwood, and they will love you forever heidi
