I suggest having a look around your local fish store and writing down the names of fish you're interested in. Then check back here and we'll help on the stock. Something that will be helpful to know is your tap waters ph as some fish have specific requirements. ^_^ ![]() |

Clown loaches need ot be in schools and really get to big for a 55 gallon. A black ghost knife will get way too big for a 55 gallon. A sailfin pleco will get to 50cm and way to big for a 55 gallon. 6 pictus is probobly too many for a 55 gallon.(maybe check with someone else as I have not had any experience with pictus.) As they are very very active, though maybe 2-3 would be ok. Witht he pictus it blocks out any tetras except the largest like bleeding hearts, serpae, congos. So you could have like: 3 pictus 8 congo tetras 3 gouramis like pearls, gold, opaline, 3-spot. Mabye 8 more big tetras 2 dwarf cichlids or something like that. Hope this helps, not quite sure about hte stocking levels as I have not owned a 55 gal. ![]() |
