 | 5 gallon and bubble stick |
angeleel  Fish Addict Posts: 561 Kudos: 472 Votes: 61 Registered: 08-Feb-2005   | I have a 5 gallon, and I put a 4 inch bubble stick in. I put it under the filter (internal) and I was wondering if some bubbles going up the intake will mess anything up?? |

If the intake is an upsidedown U, then the bubbles can become trapped in the upper curve, and as they accumulate, slow the water flow down to nothing. Generally speaking, it is always a good idea to have the source of any bubbles (airstone, wand, curtain, etc.) placed away from the intakes of any filter. I do have a back-up valve just in case. If not I am going to have to use an airstone, for this tank I hate how it looks. Thanks for the help. Angel Eel  |
