| 6 gallon tank and puffers? | |
manborg![]() ![]() Hobbyist Posts: 142 Kudos: 125 Votes: 16 Registered: 04-Apr-2005 ![]() | I currently have a 6 gallon eclipse tank with some swordtail fry in it as well as over 100 snails!!! The snails just keep multiplying... Anyhow, when the swords are large enough for me to give away, will that tank be big enough to throw a dwarf puffer or two in there? I am thinking that may be a nice remedy for the snail population...and I love puffers... |

The rule of thumb is 3 gallons per fish, but if the fish are on the docile side, you can bend the rules a bit. The only thing I'm worried about is if the puffers will over eat. If there are so many snails that the puffers are eating 24/7, then you'll run into problems. |
